ST. JUDE NURSING SCHOOL

St. Jude Nursing School trains health care professionals, offering bilingual certification programs that can be completed in as little as one to five weeks. The school's focused and accelerated academics prepare students for a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA). St. Jude also has certification or training courses in CPR and first aid, Fire Safety, and IV therapy and blood withdrawal. The purpose of having such a quick turnaround time for each p... rogram is that the school wants its graduates to be able to launch into their new careers, or get back to their existing jobs, as quickly as possible. One perk of the admissions process is that applicants are not required to have a high school diploma or GED to begin most of the programs. This opens up the training to more individuals living and working in the Greater Los Angeles area. Once students finish their program, they will be issued a diploma, and they should be ready to take the official California State tests. The school provides some practice tests on the website. Free tutoring is available as well. Although St. Jude does not offer the traditional financial aid programs, qualifying students do have the option of more manageable tuition payment plans.More
