STEPS& has developed a system that enables physical therapists to monitor, encourage, and track their patients' performance. After a session at the clinic, the therapist can use a phone or tablet to prescribe exercises from a bank of HD videos created by top rehabilitation experts. STEPS& created a chatbot called Andy who makes sure patients adhere to the therapist's regimen. He sends videos with audio that assure that patients understand how to exercise properly. He asks for pain/difficulty feedback and tracks progress that increases the sense of obligation to the treatment. Reminders and push notifications create a concrete exercise routine and form habits.
