In 1988 Sterling added programs for professional offices of Optometry, Physical Therapy, Veterinarian, Chiropractic, and Podiatric Medicine. Then in 1993, we added CPAs and accounting practices, which has since grown to become one of Sterling’s largest client bases. By 1988, Sterling had earned the #45 spot on Inc. magazine’s list of the 500 fastest-growing, privately-held companies in the U.S. The following year, Sterling again made the Inc. 500 list at #117, joining a very short list of companies to accomplish the feat, not just once, but twice.
