TASMANIAN ABORIGINAL CENTRE
TAC was founded in the early 1970s and has been funded since 1973 by the federal government. It was founded in November 1973 as the Aboriginal Information Service, changed its name to Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre (TAC) in August 1977, and to Tasmanian Aboriginal Corporation in 2016, although it continues to trade as the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre.
