The entrepreneurship activities initiated by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in 2018 were accelerated in 2023 by consolidating the activities under the umbrella brand Tech Istanbul. Tech Istanbul, operating under the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's Department of Information Technologies - Smart City Directorate, facilitates the rapid growth of startups and aids in developing scalable business models through its entrepreneurship programs. It supports ecosystem players to enhance Istan... bul's presence in the global entrepreneurship ecosystem, tailoring support mechanisms to entrepreneurs' needs from the idea stage to global expansion. Moreover, it connects technology enthusiasts with the world of technology. Tech Istanbul supports early-stage technology startups through its Pre-Incubation program, which offers comprehensive support covering processes such as scaling, business model creation, and exponential growth in technology-focused industries. Additionally, it assists scaleups with its Growth program, an advanced-stage entrepreneurship program that aligns Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, its subsidiaries, and affiliates with startups offering technology-based products addressing Istanbul's needs and providing opportunities for PoC. Through its entrepreneurship programs, Tech Istanbul has supported 290 startups and connected over 95,000 tech enthusiasts with the technology world through events held at its four locations in Istanbul.More
