TECHNOLOGY COLLABORATION CENTER OF HOUSTON

The TCC concept arose after a series of high level meeetings held throughout the region over the last several years, focusing on how the community can more fully exploit the technological capabilities in the greater Houston region. A shared interest among their communities is the development of more efficient interdisciplinary approaches to real world problems, with the goal of bringing those solutions into practice and to the market. In 2014, a steering committee of prospective collabor... ation partners was formed and held a series of meetings to develop a proposal for launching a new Technology Collaboration Center in Houston. An interim Board of Directors was formed in December, with commitments from founding members to launch the new center in January, 2015. The Houston Technology Center, Gulf Coast RCIC, Texas Emerging Technology Fund and NASA Johnson Space Center previously partnered to hold a series of 5 JSC Connect events, bringing together organizations interested in potentially partnering in new joint development projects in five technology areas - water quality & purification, robotics, telemedicine, RFID, and batteries. The TCC is expanding the JSC Connect series to include a broader range of technology topic areas of interest to TCC members and the community.More
