THE ART INSTITUTE OF BOSTON AT LESLEY UNIVERSITY
The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University in Boston, Massachusetts, is a college of visual arts that balances personal artistic development and studies in the humanities with practical career preparation. The Division of Student Life and Academic Development provides support and programs for the personal, professional and career development of the student body. For recreation, students may join one of the dozens of clubs and organizations, with interests ranging from performance art to s... ocial awareness to faith. The school also encourages students to become involved with both the local and global community with service initiatives and programs like alternative spring break, community service fairs and REAL retreats. Academics offered include bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the fine arts. Some bachelor’s programs include Art History, Design, Illustration and Photography. Master’s programs are available in Photography and Visual Arts. Students who apply to the school online will have their application fee waived. Applications are available on the school’s admissions website. The school requires applicants to submit a portfolio. Merit scholarships are awarded to eligible students who either have an exceptional portfolio or demonstrate academic achievement. Students who file a FAFSA will be considered to receive other forms of financial aid, including grants, student loans and work-study opportunities.
