THE FOUNDERS CLUB

The story began in August 2017, when a group of friends thought that it would be cool to create our very own Silicon Valley here in Miri. This all, happened after attending a Startup Weekend held in a local town. If you don’t know what Silicon Valley is, some painted it as a romantic place where all the tech giants like Google & Apple live, others find the ambiance downright oppressive and competitive. But I tend to view it in the former. Why? Because new startups keep popping from this valley... and are ready to take down the giants anytime with their crazy revolutionary ideas! And we don’t find, how technologically developed that place is, or how dense the population of smart people to be the reason why they manage to coin the term ‘Silicon Valley’. It’s simply because they are all at heart, dreaming, aspiring entrepreneurs looking to realize their vision. The belief that everyone can be a self-made man is so ingrained into the folks of the Silicon Valley that it became part of their culture. That is what the Founders Club preaches. In The Founders Club, we always envision ourselves to be a strong platform for students to be the change they want to see through their startup ideas. Regardless of how technologically prepared they are or how honed their pitch is, at The Founders Club, your action speaks louder than words.
