THE HALO TRUST
The HALO Trust is a humanitarian landmine clearance organization that creates safe and secure environments. They lead the effort to protect lives and restore livelihoods for those affected by conflict and remove landmines and make safe other weapons such as cluster bombs, stockpiles of small arms and improvised explosive devices (IEDs). They lift local families out of poverty by creating jobs for deminers and prepare the way for development and long term stability. The organization helps governments to manage stockpiles of weapons and dispose of weapons and ammunition. The HALO Trust was founded in 1988 and is based in London with an office in US.
