THE HUMANE SOCIETY OF THE UNITED STATES
The Humane Society of the United States is a non-profit animal protection organization that fights for the protection of all animals through advocacy, education, and hands-on programs. It drives transformational change in the U.S. and around the world by combating large-scale cruelties such as puppy mills, animal fighting, factory farming, seal slaughter, horse cruelty, captive hunts, and the wildlife trade. The organization’s primary mission is to prevent cruelty before it occurs. Its affiliates rescue and care for tens of thousands of animals each year. The Humane Society of the United States was founded in 1954 and is based in Washington, District of Columbia.
