THE JOE SLOVO FOUNDATION
The Joe Slovo Foundation is a Public Benefit Organisation registered in Southern Africa and the UK. Inspired by Joe Slovo’s legacy, the Foundation serves to empower under-developed and impoverished African regions. Utilising a Sustainable Livelihoods Approach the focus is on building resilient communities and on the entitlement of Human Rights as per Slovo’s good friend Nelson Mandela. The Foundation formed part of the UN World Humanitarian Summit and is actively engaged in supporting the O... utcomes of that Summit and the achievment of the Sustainable Development Goals in Africa. As such the Foundationis involved in anumber of Projects in Southern Africa including the STOP RAPE NOW campagin; SMARTER / ACTIVE CITIZENS aka CITIZENCOMM; SAVE THE FORRESTS. Most of these projects include using technology, including Mobile and Green Technology to beneifit Africans particulalry Job Creation.
