THE QUEST CENTER FOR ART & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

The Quest Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit music education & youth development center located in Dickson County TN, a largely rural and lower-income community 35 miles west of Nashville. We're a unique community resource that unconditionally serves at-risk and underserved children in rural, lower-income communities. Our operating model helps ensure that our programs are accessible for all children, with minimal overhead expenses: • we unconditionally serve children grades 4-12 with no pre-requ... isites, including individuals living with disabilities • we conduct classes at locations throughout the community, where children live and attend school • we provide free use of instruments, both in-class and at home • our classes and music education programs are conducted year-round, often at times when children need structured activities most • no child is turned away for financial reasons, but everyone is expected to contribute • our Pathway program provides training, mentoring and hands-on teaching opportunities for youth who want to pursue a carrer in music education • our students are expected to ‘give back' to the community, supporting charitable, school and community events & Quest Center fundraisers.More
