THE RESTAURANT SCHOOL AT WALNUT HILL COLLEGE
While many vocational schools feature culinary arts programs, few are as comprehensive as The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College. The Restaurant School is one of the oldest private colleges for culinary arts and hospitality in the United States. Since its founding in 1974, the school has maintained its tradition of excellence. The Restaurant School’s academics set it apart from the crowd. Unlike many culinary arts institutes, the school is a four-year college, offering both associate’... s and bachelor’s degrees in the following majors: * Culinary Arts * Pastry Arts * Hotel Management * Restaurant Management These programs are designed for full-time students. But, if full-time study is not convenient, the school also provides an extended program, which allows you to earn an associate’s degree in two years. In addition to class work, you can get hands-on experience at the school’s on-campus restaurants. These four restaurants are open to the public and each has a different theme, so you can get a feel for working in a variety of cuisines. Student life at The Restaurant School is unique in its travel opportunities. Each degree program is capped with a tour of France, England or the Bahamas, where graduates can explore the local hospitality and restaurants. Campus life is also quite vibrant, with several student clubs and organizations.
