TOHONO O'ODHAM COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Tohono O’odham Community College (TOCC) offers professional diplomas and basic education courses to members of the Tohono O’odham Nation. Programs of study also incorporate courses about tribal culture. TOCC is located in Sells, Arizona. Professional academics include certificates and associate’s degrees in Child Development and Office and Administrative Professions. TOCC also offers apprenticeships in trades like: * Carpentry * Construction Painting * Electrical * Facilities... Maintenance * Plumbing Degree-seeking students also take classes in Tohon O’odham history, language and culture. Students may also participate in or establish student clubs and organizations. These may include cultural, special interest, creative or professional groups. In addition to degree programs, TOCC offers GED-prep courses for those who have yet to earn their diploma. Financial aid comes from a variety of sources, including funds from the Tohono O’odham Nation, federal and state grants and student loans. To apply for federal aid, applicants will need to submit a FAFSA. Degree applicants will need to submit an admissions application, transcripts or GED scores and the scores from an entrance exam like COMPASS or ASSET. While the school primarily educates those within the Tohono O’odham Nation, others may enroll as well.More
