tr.im was a URL shortening service that prepares short URLs for services like Twitter. When tr.im was active the service constantly collected and had an option then to present cool graphical statistics on your URLs, such as how many times they were visited, from which locations, and referred by which websites. So tr.im would show it's users exactly how many people clicked on their URLs, and from where.
