The Traviss Career Center in Lakeland, Florida, is an authorized Florida Ready-to-Work Assessment Center that serves the occupational needs of Polk County by offering a variety of vocational academics in some of Florida’s most rapidly-growing fields. Whether your interests are in architecture, health science, automotives or information technology, the Traviss Career Center has a program for you. Technologies * Commercial Art Technology * Medical Administrative Specialist * HVAC To allow you to grow professionally, Traviss offers a variety of student events and organizations for when you are not studying. Your college life may be enhanced through joining a group like the National Technical Honor Society, Career Education Club of Florida or Traviss Ambassadors, which will allow you to gain professional leadership skills. To help ease you into your career, Traviss will provide you with job placement assistance once you graduate. To begin training for the Florida workforce, you can visit the Traviss Career Center and register to take the Test of Adult Basic Education entrance examination. Upon successful completion, you will meet with an admissions advisor who will help you determine a field of study that is right for you. Students who file a FAFSA and demonstrate need will be considered for Traviss financial aid.More
