ULTRASONIC AUDIO
Ultrasonic audio technologies creates new paradigms for musical expression, human computer interaction, and acoustic communication. It develops and offers musical interface controllers based on non-contact tactile feedback and computer vision, directional speakers based on modulated ultrasound as well as several mobile applications combining music making and gaming. Acouspade, a product of Ultrasonic Audio Technologies, is a directional speaker that emits a highly focused beam of sound. It is able to place a particular sound at a desired spatial location, while preserving silence where the sound is not needed. It also develops an interface named Syntact, which enables musicians to virtually mold and shape the sound with their hands.
