United, which is housed in the Music Pavilion in the Media Park in Hilversum, is a full service organisation in the field of facilities, and technical and creative support for media and broadcast organisations. The company started in 1988 as an ENG company and grew through acquisitions from the need for a broader portfolio. The first step in that development was the merger with post-production company Valkieser in early 2001. This expanded the portfolio. Next, in the field of multicam, the company Sonotech was acquired in 2001 to expand existing multicam activities. Subsequently, the company acquired several subsidiaries of the former NOB in 2004, including set design company NOB Decor (now known as Hollandse Handen) and Cinevideogroup. The NOB subsidiaries were founded in the seventies of the previous century. In 2007 the company became part of the Euro Media Group, an important international player. This allowed the company to further develop its international ambitions. With the combined strength of national and international partners United is able to operate flexibly and decisively at an international level too. In 2007 the company Filmpartners (technical architect of Big Brother) was added. It is another company with a strong international network and unique expertise.
