UNIVERSIDAD AUT贸NOMA DEL ESTADO DE HIDALGO
The Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo is the oldest teaching institution of this federative entity. The campus was born with the state; in their different stages of development the corresponding epochs of the history of Hidalgo are reflected.In a brief historical synthesis, four stages can be distinguished in the life of the University. During the first, covering from 1869 to 1911,the following events were raised: The school was founded in the city of Pachuca in February 1869 under the name of Literary Institute and School of Arts and Crafts, and on the initiative of a group of professionals headed by Don Agust铆n C谩rdenas, Dr. Miguel Varela and Dr. Marcelino Guerrero. A few days later, Governor Juan C. Doria turned it into an official body and inaugurated it on March 3.
