The USAM - UTAC University system became operational in 1992 with the creation of one of the first private Universities of our State, the San Marcos University campus Tuxtla Gutiérrez. The project called Universidad San Marcos began as a concern of Dr. José Guadalupe Méndez Toscano Maestro with more than 40 years in the educational field.The USAM - UTAC system, since its inception, made a big difference in the university environment since it has been the only system that really fosters moral and ethical values through its educational philosophy.
