University of California Riverside, also known as UCR, is one of the smaller universities in the University of California system, a high-ranking state system with consistently high quality academics in numerous fields of study. Located in the mid-sized city of Riverside, approximately 45 minutes from downtown Los Angeles, UCR is just large enough to offer vitality and diversity and just small enough to render a personalized atmosphere.
