The Institute of Aviation, of the University of Illinois, in Savoy, Illinois, prepares graduates to become aviation leaders with its high-quality undergraduate degree program and exceptional flight education. To be considered eligible, students must be full-time junior or senior students and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. Academics at the Institute of Aviation include programs and courses that lead to a bachelor’s of science degree in Aviation Human Factors, which focuses on how to make airplanes and the pilots who fly them safer and more effective. The institute’s website includes a list of job opportunities for both students and graduates. To be admitted into the Institute of Aviation, students must first be admitted to the University of Illinois. Admissions require students to select a major, send a list of extracurricular and community service activities and submit two personal essays and official ACT/SAT scores. Tuition is set lower for residents of Illinois. Students who file a FAFSA will be considered to receive financial aid.More
