University of Maine in Augusta supports the adult learner, the recent high school graduate, the senior citizen and those facing economic challenges in getting a marketable degree, either online or on the beautiful New England campus. Associate’s and bachelor’s degrees are both awarded in such fields as Applied Science, Architecture, Business Administration, Dental Hygiene, Medical Laboratory Technology, Nursing, Public Administration and Veterinary Technology. With special degree programs ... for adults and for senior citizens, Augusta provides opportunities for students at all stages of life and work. To provide accessibility to students from other cities and states, Augusta also offers many of its degrees online. For students who are on campus Augusta has academic, religious, creative, community service and special interest clubs and organizations. In addition to personal counseling, career counseling and assessment, and academic mentoring, Augusta provides additional services for students from economically and personally challenged backgrounds through its Cornerstone and Women, Work and Community programs.
