The Urban Flows Observatory is supported by ยฃ1.5 million in EPSRC capital funding, plus an extra ยฃ400k for an Urban Remote Sensing vehicle that will be shared with UKCRIC partner universities. The University of Sheffield has provided an additional ยฃ300,000 to Urban Flows for both equipment and a technical manager. provide strategies and tools for developing urban sensing structures, as well as for managing and analyzing urban data streams. We'll use this information to build a solid database that will help local and national decision-makers create zero-carbon, healthy, and happy communities.
