VEEB NASSAU COUNTY SCHOOL OF PRACTICAL NURSING

If you’re a student in Nassau County in Uniondale, New York, and want to begin a rewarding career as a nurse, you should consider the Veeb Nassau County School of Practical Nursing. The Vocational Board’s practical nursing program has received state approval. Academics at the school include an 11-month Licensed Practical Nurse program. The curriculum combines academic classroom study with clinical experiences throughout the community. Students will receive a hands-on and theoretical educati... on to ensure that they develop well-rounded competency skills. The academic program is a three-trimester course. Students have access to a support services library, computer lab and private or group tutoring opportunities. The school also offers counseling services. Admissions are open. Any student who is at least 18 years of age and has earned a high school diploma or GED has the opportunity to attend. Interested applicants must complete a personal interview with the nursing faculty, submit two reference letters, complete history and physical exams as well as required immunizations. Tuition is set lower for Nassau County residents. Students who file a FAFSA may be eligible to receive financial aid through the forms of federal Pell grants, SEO grants and family education loan programs to help cover the cost of tuition.More
