The Vermillion Community College in Ely, Minnesota, gives students the opportunities for an environmental and general education in preparation for a work, life and learning in a dynamic world. The goal of Vermillion is to assist you in your career development. As soon as you step foot on the campus, you'll be assigned an academic advisor based on your program of study who will help you during your student career. The school also offers job placement assistance, career counseling and more. Acad... emics offered at the college include associate's degrees in the arts, sciences and applied sciences. Programs include Accounting, Biology, Career Orientation, Music and many more. The school also offers one-year certificate and diploma programs. Admissions are open. Any student who has earned a high school diploma or GED has the opportunity to enroll. Students must submit official transcripts and immunizations records and sign up for College Preparation Days, an orientation session where the applicant will tour the campus, meet with faculty and register for classes. Tuition is set lower for Minnesota residents. Institutional scholarships are awarded to eligible students who have completed a FAFSA. Other forms of financial aid include federal Pell grants, SEO grants, student loans and work-study programs.More
