Located in Birmingham, Alabama, VMV is interested in identifying significant investment opportunities in the biomedical markets. VMV provides seed, start-up, and early stage financing to help in the development of emerging biotechnology and medical product based companies with products and technology having significant market potential. In general, VMV will be the lead investor in the seed round to maximize influence on pricing and structure of each investment. We do not expect to maintain operating control of the company, but will take an active role in each investment to ensure ongoing performance of its portfolio companies. This active role will provide the added management experience designed to enhance valuations and achieve substantial returns. Total investment per portfolio company will be up to $450,000 with the average initial investment per portfolio company between $150,000-$300,000.
