As the oldest post-secondary school in the state, West Liberty University in West Liberty, West Virginia offers rigorous, high quality academics and thriving arts education programs. Regardless of the program studied, West Liberty graduates have a high level of success. More than 60 majors are offered at West Virginia Liberty. Academic programs include studies in the Liberal Arts, Education, Humanities and Natural, Social and Behavioral Sciences. Additional majors are offered in Business. There... are also graduate programs in various aspects of Education. Arts programs are comprehensive and don’t just include degrees in the execution of Visual Art, Music and Theatre, but related fields of study as well, such as Art Therapy and Music Education. Each of the Arts departments has numerous out-of-class activities as well, which influence the overall campus life experience. There are, for example, numerous music ensembles, a choir, an art gallery, art festival and a theatre company that performs contemporary, cutting-edge as well as traditional plays. Students who major in Visual or Performing Arts are also eligible for scholarships to help pay for tuition. Throughout all of West Liberty’s departments there is a high success rate among graduates, with many of them holding high positions in their fields. Admission to West Liberty is based on different factors, depending on one’s area of study. Theatre or Music applicants, for example, will need to audition for admission to their program.
