WESTWOOD STUDIOS
Westwood Studios is a computer and game developer that provides real-time strategy, adventure, and role-playing genres. The products of the company are eye of the beholder, the legend of kyrandia, dune, lands of lore, and command and conquer. The company develops VQA which is a file format for video encoding. The VQA format was used in every Westwood game released between 1995 and 2000. Westwood Studios is a U.S.-based company that was founded in 1985 by Louis Castle. It was later acquired by Electronic Arts in 1998.
