WOMEN’S EARTH ALLIANCE

Women's Earth Alliance was inspired by a Visioning Session in Mexico City (2006) where 30 women leaders from around the world gathered to explore the question: What would it look like if grassroots women leaders around the world were supported and united in their efforts to protect their communities and their lands? This group stepped forward because of a deep concern for the health and longevity of their communities, and for the very future of the planet. Women's Earth Alliance was built in... response to the ideas and vision collaboratively put forth by this group. This Visioning Session pooled the expertise of this group of thirty women environmental advocates to assess the unique challenges they faced as women working for environmental and social justice and to identify the key strategies they could activate to enhance the local and global impact of their efforts.
