We started as the technologists' group of yourciencebc LTD - YSBC. Our goal was to analyze the market trends spotted by YSBC and invent technologies satisfying the markets' needs. In two years’ time, we created and patented our first product - SMITH - dedicated to securing data - health, personal, corporate - against identity theft and malicious access. After our CEO Meganne Christian spent two years at Concordia Station in Antartica as part of the European Space Agency isolation studies, she ... had the idea of developing suits and accessories to survive harsh environments, including Space, desertic area, polar areas. At the beginning, we targeted the North Atlantic surveillance operations as a scenario for developing new suits equipped with sensors and more wearable of the actual suits on the market. At that time, 6 months ago, Space was considered too difficult to address for a small company. And indeed, it is. Three months ago, the CTO Carlo Saverio Iorio and Meganne understood that the Spacesuits developed so far were so complex and bulky because they should sustain the "military grade" operations done by the present astronauts on mega Space platforms like the International Space Station. What about the suits for the Space Tourists? Should they have the same requirements of the existing ones? We did a thorough research both online and through surveying Space businesses in our network.
