ALABAMA STATE UNIVERSITY
The Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama, provides high-quality educational programs in the liberal arts, fine arts, sciences and business for undergraduate and graduate students. Student life is anything but dull. More than 70 student organizations from Greek life to the Student Government Association to the Art Club make it easy to get involved on campus, make new friends and engage with the local community. The school also offers exceptional visual and performing arts programs th... roughout the year, like art exhibits and musical, dance and theatre performances. The ASU Student Services Center is a hub for student activity with its food court, movie theatre, cyber cafรฉ and other amenities. Academics are offered in nearly 50 undergraduate, graduate and continuing education programs. Degrees are offered in the health sciences, international business, education, performing arts and more. Admissions require students to submit an official high school transcript and ACT/SAT scores. The school uses a sliding scale to determine admissions. Applicants with lower GPAs may be admitted with higher ACT or SAT scores. Tuition is set lower for Alabama residents. Students who have filed a FAFSA will be considered to receive financial aid through ASU scholarships, outside scholarships, federal grants, loans and work study programs. Alabama State University is an HBCU.
