BlueCross BlueShield Venture Partners (BCBSVP) is a corporate venture fund program to which twenty-nine BCBS entities have committed over $500 million across three Funds. The Funds invest in promising emerging companies of strategic relevance to Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plans and provide access to its portfolio to deploy innovation at scale. The venture partners are sponsored by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, an association of independent Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies. Sandbox Industries is the exclusive provider of investment management services to BlueCross BlueShield Venture Partners. It was established in Chicago, Illinois in 2008.
