The Canada Stand is the SXSW Trade Show home of the Canadian Blast, an initiative of the Canadian Independent Music Association (CIMA) and Music Export Canada. The Canadian Blast combines the business-focused Canada Stand with the quintessential Canadian Blast BBQ (March 15) and the ever-popular Canada House to offer a strong sampling of the trendsetting, vibrant and internationally engaged Canadian music industry. Join us Wednesday, March 15th at Brush Square from 2:00 – 6:00 pm as we celebrate some of the hottest and the newest Canadian talent ever. All SXSW badge-holders and invited guests are welcome! Canada House (Swan Dive, 615 Red River), Thursday, March 16 and Friday, March 17: Canadian independent music is staging their long-running SXSW festival residency at Swan Dive on Red River street with exclusive daytime industry showcases open to SXSW badge-holders and invited guests (ask us about VIP access). By night, Canada House is an official SXSW festival venue featuring non-stop Canadian music.More
