Mercado Diferente is a mission-driven Brazilian foodtech created with a purpose: give everyone access to healthy foods while fighting food waste in Latin America. By rescuing organic items considered "imperfect" and directly sending them to consumers, they are able to offer up to 40% off traditional retail prices. Founded by Eduardo Petrelli (ex-James Delivery), Saulo Marti (ex-Olist), Paulo Monçores (ex-VTex) & Walter Rodrigues (ex-Rappi), Mercado Diferente is backed by major investors such as Maya Capital, Collaborative Fund, GFC and unicorn founders like Matias Muchnick (founder of NotCo), Abhi Ramesh (founder of Misfits Market), Hamish Shepard (founder of HelloFresh) and Tiago Dalvi (founder of Olist).
