Franklin Bank Corp. is a savings and loan holding company. Through its wholly owned subsidiary, Franklin Bank, S.S.B. (Franklin Bank or the bank), the Company provides community banking products and services and commercial banking services to corporations and other business clients, and originates single-family residential mortgage loans. Effective January 1, 2006, its operations are managed along two segments: Banking and Mortgage Banking. Banking services are concentrated in community banking and commercial lending product lines. Mortgage Banking supports its community banking business. In May 2007, it acquired The First National Bank of Bryan.More
