Galecoach Ltd was set up to provide an online management system for GAA clubs and players. In the ever increaasingly competitive nature of the GAA, each club is looking to stay as up to date as possible with modern techniques of managing its current players as best as possible and increasing the chances of bringing through a new younger crop of players in future years. What Gaelcoach gives a club is the opportunity to harness the power of technology to gather the data on all its players into ... one location. Instantly a team manager can see how many times a player has played this year, how often he was at training and what coaching drills he has been involved in (and just as important, what drills he has missed!). The team manager can assess what work the player had done with the manager of the team the year before and look to advance the player's development, rather than running the same old drills and skill work every year. Fitness test data from year to year can also be compared (e.g. are your players as fit at this time of year as they were last year, or how can you show your players have hit peak fitness in the week leading upto the 1st round of Championship) The player in the club is also empowered to take more control of his own development, by giving them access to their data and showing them their GAA club calendar. They can choose to also add in other events such as the gym and other fitness work they do outside the club and this will help to give them more information to plan their recovery time, nutrition etc.More
