GRANDE CACHE COAL

Grande Cache Coal (GCC), an Alberta based company, was formed in 2000 for the purpose of reactivating coal mining in the Grande Cache area. GCC's experienced team of coal professionals have developed a sustainable, long-term mining operation to produce premium, low volatile, metallurgical coking coal for export to the world steel industry. Smoky River Coalfield located in west-central Alberta, within the inner foothills of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The mine is located approximately 20 kilometers north of the Town of Grande Cache and 360 kilometers west of Edmonton. Metallurgical coal has been produced in the Grande Cache area since 1969. GCC's corporate logo features a miners' lamp in recognition of the underground mining heritage in the Grande Cache community.More
