Competitive advantage: Localised strategy focuses on partnering with shopping mall groups as entry points into acquiring merchants and consumers; Malls are incentivised to promote Happay, as they often have sales-linked income streams and provide the in-store POS systems (Happay can more easily scale integration); Access to mall VIP / member lists which provide data on spending behaviours and purchasing power, and helps drive Happay’s initial stage credit assessment framework (BNPL customer ‘whitelists’). Management team has strategic relationships with leading mall operators with large presence across mainland China
