Ku6 Media Co., Ltd. is a Chinese online video portal providing users with an array of video-related content. Since its launch in 2006, Ku6 has been building a major media platform to provide differentiated marketing services for advertisers. It is focused on creating a platform for short-form, user-generated video content. In 2009, Ku6 was acquired by Shanda and became the world's first video site listed on NASDAQ. Backed by Shanda's resources, which included a $100 million investment in April 2011, Ku6 announced in 2012 that the number of videos uploaded daily had reached 200,000, with the number of monthly unique visitors reaching 220 million. Ku6's major rivals are Youku and Tudou.
