Optishell is an electro-optics company that specializes in technologies in the area of movie piracy with a focus on the illegal recording of films through the use of camcorders or handheld cameras and ticket fraud. It designs its ROSE100 to identify and prevent the illegal recording of films projected in movie theaters. The system consists of a detection head located near the screen to detect pirates who are trying to record the film with a camcorder or smartphone.
