SEABASED
Seabased is a wave energy company that provides utility-scale power parks that use ocean waves as fuel and operate either independently or with offshore wind. The company can help determine the best renewable mix, site locations, acquire permits, do studies, create a custom power park for a given area, design, build, install, and maintain it. We have installed 2 full scale multi generator power parks and are currently in the process of 3rd party certification of our commercial system. In 2020 S... eabased Ltd. of Ireland acquired all the assets and liabilities of Seabased Group. Prior to this, the group funded its R&D and demonstration projects through equity from shareholders, customers including Vattenfall, TC’s Energy and Fortum, and grants from the EU, the Swedish government, the Swedish Energy Agency, the Horizon 2020 SME instrument and the Telemark region in Norway. The company is currently participating in Interreg grants OESA (Ocean Energy Scale-up Alliance) and DUAL Ports.
