Sift Food Labels is on a mission to give everyone - regardless of geography, education, and income level - access to honest information about what's in the food they eat. The first product they've brought to market is a mobile application where users snap the barcode of any food product, Sift translates the ingredients into easy-to-understand-terms, flags ingredients banned in other countries and, if unlocked, shows whether or not the item scanned is compliant with specific dietary needs.
