The Guardian is a British national daily newspaper that covers news, sports, business, opinion, analysis, reviews, and much more. It was published to promote the liberal interests in the aftermath of the Peterloo Massacre and the growing campaign to repeal the Corn Laws that flourished in Manchester. Since launching its U.S. and Australia digital editions in 2011 and 2013 respectively, traffic from outside of the U.K. now represents over two-thirds of The Guardian’s total digital audience. It was first published in 1821 and is based in New York, N.Y.
