THE INSTITUTE FOR BIRD POPULATIONS
Institute for Bird Populations is a nonprofit corporation, monitoring avian productivity and survival, and a collaborative network of bird banding stations. Their science and conservation programs conduct avian research, population monitoring, and conservation work in several geographical regions using a variety of methods, from point counts to the use of emerging wildlife tracking technologies. Their flagship programs include the monitoring of winter survival programs for studying neotropical migrant birds during their wintering grounds.
