SNAME has played an extremely important role in career development and success for many. SNAME is an international association of maritime and ocean professionals with more than 6,000 members spanning 95 countries. The Society's mission is to accelerate the advancement of naval architecture, marine engineering, ocean engineering, and other marine-related fields through the global exchange of knowledge and ideas regarding the marine industry, education in engineering, and encouraging and sponsoring research and development in naval architecture, marine engineering, and ocean engineering.
