Launched in November 2018, the Yield Lab Asia Pacific, based in Singapore, is the latest expansion of the global The Yield Lab branded accelerator, which is a food and agricultural technology (agrifood tech) accelerator and venture fund. Structured similarly to its peer accelerators in North America, Europe, and Latin America, this fund will focus on driving innovation across the entire Asia Pacific region. The Yield Lab Asia Pacific accelerator operates on a 12 month cycle, which is part formal... training and part mentorship from our team of agribusiness experts. The Yield Lab Asia Pacific will invest US $100,000 into seed stage technology companies that revolutionize agricultural and food systems to sustainably provide for the world. These startups take part in tailored accelerator programming and receive one on one mentorship and access to the Yield Lab’s global network of agricultural businesses, scientists, farmers and investors. The training focuses on customers, collaborations, and capital. The Yield Lab focuses on startup technologies in crop production and plant science, animal health and welfare, precision agriculture, supply chain/logistics, sustainability, and food ingredients. The Yield Lab can make an additional seed and series A investments into opportunities selected from its accelerator graduates and other agrifood tech opportunities.
