Twile are planning to disrupt the online family history market - which is worth $2bn globally - by making it accessible and engaging for the whole family. Their mobile and web apps allow family historians to create rich, visual timelines of their ancestry made up of milestones, photos and videos, which their family can explore and contribute to. While online genealogy services allow family historians to research their ancestry and store their findings, they offer little to help them share this with their wider family in an engaging way.
