The University of Ostrava is an institution that strives to develop the humanities and medical, scientific, and artistic fields in the local region, traditionally associated with industrial and technological spheres. The project seeks to contribute to the solution of urgent problems of Moravia-Silesia Region in social, environmental, and health areas, and to turn Ostrava into a true university town. As a result, it is committed to continuing to reflect the identity, culture, and history of the region as well as to cultivate it through artistic creative activities.
