Learning Games Studios builds on the work of the award winning not-for-profit Learning Games Network’s (LGN) research and game development. LGN was formed in 2007 by leading learning scientists and instructional designers from two world-class labs: MIT’s Education Arcade and University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Games+Learning+Society center. LGN’s mission is to advance the field of game-based learning by enabling and promoting cross-disciplinary and cross-sector collaborations capable o... f realizing innovation and leveraging the ubiquity of digital media to benefit the public good. By combining educational expertise, innovative game mechanics and experienced industry game developers, LGN attracts funding from a variety of government agencies and major philanthropies.
